Sorry, guys, it was really awesome, but i’m cutting Hipster Heartstrings off for now. In the future, I’ll probably reboot it when I’m more comfortable with where i am in life, but for now you won’t be seeing any of me for quite a while.

My personal blog, hipsterheartstringsmod, is going to be moving to holynegative0, which will be an all purpose blog for doing all kinds of cool stuff.

I really love this blog, and it has introduced me to a lot of really cool people and I hope I don’t lose too many followers on here because I love all of you guys and I have every intention of bringing this back. I just can’t handle it right now, and I haven’t been able to for a while.

So I’ve reached almost 500 followers, and with the rate you guys are finding me, i’ll probably hit it sometime soon.

I am going to attempt to do something totally crazy that will probably land me somewhere in hell. I am going to draw my lovely followers all together!

I have already picked out a few choice followers that will definitely be in the picture (mostly some up and coming blogs that i like, but also some of my friends and blogs that i just really, really love.)

BUT

A better question would be “Have you ever found it easy to tell someone you don’t like them,” and the answer would be no.

1. we hardly ever eat at the old dining room table that my mom refuses to get rid of.

2. i have one sister, one father, one mother, one me, two cats, two dogs, two turtles, uncountable feeder fish, and one mouse.

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.

2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.

3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”

4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”

5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.

TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.

Reblog this to keep other users aware. Suicide isn’t a joke, and neither is someone’s life. If you didn’t know this, someone else may not, either. Pass it on.

I really didn’t know that tumblr did this, but that’s pretty amazing.

I will say this right now.
Someone has done this on my behalf. It alerts Tumblr staff, and they will personally message you and give you help.
This isn’t just a “oh signal boost for the sake of signal boosting.” It does do something and it will have an effect.

(My prayers and heart goes out to those affected by the tragedies in Newton, Connecticut and China. A child should never be victim to such violence, and I am deeply saddened how one of these occurrences happened close to home.
